Claudia Coleman Co-Chair, Board of Directors
Claudia has been involved with LACF since she participated in the first Leadership Education Advancement (LEAD) class in 1996. Since then she has contributed actively on the LACF Board of Directors and as the program manager for the LEAD class since 2009. She also currently serves on the El Camino Hospital Foundation Board where she was Chair through 2013. Previously she served on the American Red Cross Board and the Pilgrim Haven board, now known as the Terraces of Los Altos. In 2011 she was recognized for her volunteerism at the Los Altos-Los Altos Hills Joint Community Volunteer Service Awards luncheon. She worked at Hewlett-Packard for twenty-one years in computer sales and peripherals marketing management.
Sherie has served on the LACF Board of Directors since 2008 and additionally is actively leading LACF’s Los Altos PREPARE Program. She is a member of the Los Altos Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. She also served as Chairwoman of Borel Private Bank and Trust for seven years and as a Trustee of Saint Mary’s College for eight years. She is a Certified Public Accountant as well as the inventor of the Vital Records PortaVault®. Sherie’s working career has spanned more than 35 years and includes senior management positions in CPA firms, and public and private companies. Sherie has lived in Los Altos for 20 years holds a BS degree in Accounting from St. Mary’s College of California.
Joe Eyre, Executive Director
Joe joined LACF in 2012. He has been an active community volunteer, currently serving on the Environmental Commission for the City of Los Altos, and as a member of Los Altos Forward, a volunteer group promoting vibrancy in downtown Los Altos and as a member of the Los Altos Rotary Club. He founded the Los Altos First Friday program in 2011. He previously volunteered as an Eagle Scout advisor for Los Altos Troop 37 and served as board member and treasurer for the Los Altos Educational Foundation. He has over 20 years of high tech marketing management experience with Extreme Networks, Lucent Technologies, Hewlett-Packard, and several startups. He has lived in Los Altos since 1994 and lived in Mountain View before that.
Roy Lave, Executive Director Emeritus
Roy founded LACF in 1991 and passionately led it for 22 years as a volunteer. Under his leadership LACF grew to be a valued contributor to the local community through its grantmaking, program management, philanthropic funds management, and convening of the community. In this role he also orchestrated the move and preservation of the Community House, now LACF’s office, and Neutra house, a conference resource available to the community. He currently serves on the board of directors of the Los Altos Stage Company Theatre and has served as Los Altos Mayor and Councilmember, on the Boards of the Moscow-Santa Clara County Sister County Program, Los Alto Sister Cities, the Rotary AIDS project, the Los Altos Rotary Club where he also served as president. He has resided in Los Altos since 1964.
