Books for Haiti “Packing Party” on September 21

booksforhaitiFunding and shipping assistance has been obtained, through the generous support of Infinera Corp., to allow us to move 5,000 French language books to the Grace School, Titanyen, Haiti.

This school for orphaned children has NO books, and this will make a tremendous difference in those students’ lives. The hard part NOW will be to ready those books for shipping.

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”

~Nelson Mandela

A packing party in Pacifica is planned for September 21st, at the home of Michelle Lacourciere.

The “team” will consist of student volunteers from both Los Altos High School (arranged by Seth Donnelly) and Mountain View High School (Marie Thuillier). If YOU would like to volunteer, or know a student who can help on this date, please contact Robert Ende at 408-931-1774.

We are also almost to our goal of $5,000 that will put 40 Kindles in the Mission of Hope School in Grand Goâve, Haiti. To help put this project over the top, and the Kindles on their way to Haiti, please visit www.booksforhaiti.com.

Thanks!
