The Foundation has created two operating funds: the Founder's Fund and the Annual Sustaining Campaign Fund.
Become a Founder
The Founders Fund contributes to the community through current programs and projects. It is funded by one time donations and pledges of $1,000 (or $500 for those under 35). Becoming a Founder is a lasting legacy from a one time gift. Founders receive all the material describing the Foundation and the status of philanthropy in the community, are invited to all our events, are invited to participate in special activities, and, of course, are asked to support the Sustaining Fund and special fund raising activities when they occur (such as the fund which paid for the moving and renovation of the Community House).
There are now 360 Founders and new Founders will be welcomed until every member of the community — those who live in it, work in it, or just appreciate it — have been asked to become Founders.
Provide Annual Support
You can make a big difference by helping support the Foundation on an annual basis, through LACF's Sustaining Fund Campaign, which covers the salaries of the two paid staff persons, the costs of Community House, and direct office and administrative expenses. The fund is fueled by an annual solicitation to Founders and the community.
