Dan Barritt is a community leader with a passion for volunteering and nonprofit board service. Currently, he is a board member at Silicon Valley Social Venture Fund (SV2), a nonprofit that teaches effective philanthropy. He also serves as a board member and committee chair at The School Fund, a crowdsourcing nonprofit that pays school fees for low-income students in developing countries. Previously, Dan served on the Board of The Saul and Dayee Haas Foundation where he helped convert the foundation into a public charity and rebrand it to InvestED, a nonprofit that helps students stay in school.
Prior to his community work, Dan worked at Google as a Senior User Experience Researcher, and at Microsoft, where he led research teams. Dan has bachelor degrees in Computer Engineering and Computer Science and an MS degree in Human-Computer Interaction from Carnegie Mellon University.
