Improving Lives

In 2018, Los Altos Community Foundation’s Community Grants, donor-advised funds, and programs gave $1.1 million to over 72 nonprofits serving Los Altos, Los Altos Hills and Mountain View, and scholarships to 148 local students.

Improving lives by tackling many community issues including affordable housing, teen mental health, and immigration issues, is an important focus of the Foundation – both now and for the long-term. These grants addressed the needs of those most vulnerable and helped improve the quality of life in our community.

Leave a Lasting Legacy

For many of the Foundation’s donors, improving lives is a commitment to addressing today’s community needs and those of our children and future generations. To date, 42 generous and visionary families have included LACF in their estate plans and become part of LACF’s Legacy Circle. Their gifts are critical for addressing the community’s needs far into the future.
