Improving Lives

In 2017, Los Altos Community Foundation’s Community Grants, donor advised funds, and programs gave $1.39 million in grants and scholarships to over 70 nonprofits serving Los Altos, Los Altos Hills and Mountain View, and scholarships to 120 local students – a 55% increase over the previous year. Improving lives by tackling many community issues including senior isolation, teen mental health, and domestic violence, is an important focus of the Foundation – both now and for the long-term. These grants addressed the needs of those most vulnerable and helped improve the quality of life in our community.

Leave a Lasting Legacy
For many of the Foundation’s donors, improving lives is a commitment to addressing today’s community needs and those of our children and future generations. To date, 36 generous and visionary families have included LACF in their estate plans and become part of LACF’s Legacy Circle. Their gifts are critical for addressing the community’s needs far into the future.
