Providing a framework for positive collaboration is an important focus of Los Altos Community Foundation (LACF). It is key to working through issues to find creative solutions that strengthen the community.
LACF plays a leadership role in bringing groups and key stakeholders together to:
- Listen together.
- Share perspectives and create a shared understanding of complex situations.
- Model alternative processes for working through complex community issues.
Collaborations for Good
Community issues require strong partnerships that effectively align financial resources, volunteers, and public attention to bring about positive social change. In previous years, LACF partnered with major corporations based in Mountain View through the Inspire Mountain View initiative to support local nonprofits.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, LACF established key partnerships including:
#TogetherMV (with the City of Mountain View), which has provided more than $1.1 million to community organizations, small businesses, and residents.
Los Altos Small Business Fund (with the City of Los Altos and the Los Altos Chamber of Commerce), to support small businesses affected by the pandemic.
